3. Select Export to a PST file option and select Export only the contents of this mailbox
4. Click on the Next button and paste the Shared folder
5. The syntax to locate the path of exported mailboxes is \\MSServer\new-pst-folder\file-name.pst.
6. Click on the Next and Finish button once the process is complete.

Method 2: Convert EDB to PST Format Using Exmerge Application

To convert EDB to PST, you can use the EXMerge tool. However, this tool has some pros and cons. The advantages that it offers include, the software prevents duplicates, and it keeps the backup of single as well as multiple EDB mailboxes. To save EDB to PST the shared path (\\Server\pst-file-folder) will be used in powershell command.

1. To get the list of Exchange mailboxes, run the following command:

Get-MailboxStatistics -Database <DatabaseName>

2. Run this command to convert EDB to PST.

New-MailboxExportRequest -Mailbox <MailboxName> -\\Server\pst-file-folder\MailboxName.PST

Note: This command will allow you to export Exchange EDB to PST from EDB Exchange 2016.
